Of my 27 years, theres been many an influential tid bit spoken by my mom; but that one resonated deeply with me the very first time she said it.
I've been having life conversations more frequently with not only family and friends but with some of the most unexpected people I meet. The outcome is something I am learning to love. I think it's helped me verbalize my thoughts and feelings toward people and about life events and interactions but I can see the influence it's having on those I'm talking with too.
I can hear the concern in their voice change and melt when they get to talk about something meaningful. I see the comfort in their body language, I can feel judgement melt away. It's okay to have different views and it's okay to disagree as long as you are still carrying an element of respect and a compassion for the heart.
